Here's what I've been doing for the past few weeks. I decided to challenge my leading skills with this project. This is the second time I made this peacock. The first time was in 2001. I used copper foil. This time I decided to redesign the face of the bird and the branches. I also wanted the face to look more realistic than the original. So far, I'm having a great time and it gives me chance to improve my skills. I'll update as the project progresses. Mounting this peacock will be another challenge as a large hole will need to be cut into a interior wall above the stairs (about 18 feet high). I'll also be making wood shutters and sill to simulate a window opening for the stained glass by making it appear to be outside. Please stay tuned.
George has finally found his "Home Sweet Home" after 14 years of searching. George convinced Erika to move back to Japan, but it has been an uphill struggle. There are many problems that lie ahead for George and Erika before they can finally call Japan, "Home Sweet Home". Please join them as they face the difficulties and celebrate the successes. The journey promises to be entertaining as well as informative.
